Summer Hair Survival Guide
Hello my beauties!
Summer’s here and in Texas it's definitely warming up, and with all the sun, sweat, and splashes—your natural hair and those of you with beautiful extensions need a little extra TLC.
Here are my must-know tips to keep your strands hydrated, protected, and vacation-photo ready!
Your Beach Bag Secret Weapon: DIY Conditioning Spray
Pool water, lake days, and even city tap can leave your hair full of drying minerals and chemicals. That can leave build up, cause excess damage or dryness to the hair (to name just a few issues). Protect your strands with this easy leave-in hack:
What you need:
Filtered or bottled water
Your favorite conditioner (either leave-in or a regular conditioner)

A few of my favorites are:
Leaf & Flower Damage Conditioner (CBD infused and amazing for your scalp and hair)
Eufora Elixer One
Eufora Beautifying Elixer Leave-in Repair
Eufora Hydration Leave-in Conditioner
DIY Mix:
2 parts water + 1 part conditioner
Shake well and spray all over your hair (especially the ends and extensions) before swimming.
Braid or wrap in a bun to keep your hair from tangling in the water and creating unnecessary damage.
💡 Bonus Tip:
Spray again after swimming to help prevent chlorine or hard water buildup, and rinse your hair immediately. Follow up by washing twice (the first wash breaks up the buildup or dirt and the second washes that completely out of the hair), and condition with a hydrating conditioner or a deep conditioner.
Keep Sunscreen Off Your Hair
Sunscreens with avobenzone and other chemical filters can discolor blonde and extension hair, turning it brassy or even a peachy green.
What to do:
Use a mineral sunscreen (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide only) on your face, neck, and shoulders—safer for both hair and skin!

Option 2
If you’re using spray SPF, shield your hair with a towel, wide headband, or hat. (It’s cute and smart!)
💡 My suggestion… don't use a spray!
Style Smart: Protect with Hats and Scarves
Sunlight can fade vivid colors, the UV can affect even the most natural tones and dry out extensions as well as your natural hair.
A wide-brimmed hat or a silky scarf not only keeps you cool but guards those strands like a Southern mama guards her casserole at a potluck.
